Bungee jumping

Do you know what's the bungee jumping?

Bungee jumping is to jump into a void from a very high height, from a platform, crane or bridge, usually using a connection from the ankle to the elastic rope to first accelerate the fall and then shock the fall and cause a rebound effect, so it is considered an extreme sport.

Bungee technology uses a flexible material that stretches up to 400% and breaks over 600%. However, the climbing ropes used will elongate very little (3% or 5%) when in a pendulum shape, and about 30% in extreme conditions (factor 2, downhill climbing). So, the base material is completely different. Due to the difference between bungee jumping and puénting, a different situation arises puénting can touch the water at the end of the fall because it is reached at a reduced speed.

The bungee jumping is an exciting experience like paragliding, skydiving and more. This free fall allows for length flexibility and the consequent deceleration of the fall, which makes it a very special sensation and, more importantly, the weightlessness and confusion experienced by the recoil (loss of reference).

Properly adapted and performed, bungee jumping is a low-risk activity (as approved and recognized by insurance companies that provide coverage), but it is generally agreed that it is one of the most dangerous activities and, of course, has its risks.
